"My friendship with Alan Álvarez began fifteen years ago, I vividly remember it because that night, I was out at a club and I saw how an unknown DJ, who was playing obscure alternative house, suddenly took out a violin and adapted a meter from another world and played at the dizzying speed of the music. By coincidence, which I don’t believe in, we ended up at some mutual friends’ house at dawn. It was one of those endless nights in which no one wants to go to bed and you laugh a lot. Mid-way through the party, Alan took out his violin and began to inundate the room with notes I recognized immediately: Johann Sebastian Bach. What was a DJ doing playing those pure notes with such grace? The surprise was immense and the night transformed. It was unforgettable.

Since then, we have forged a solid friendship and I have been a happy witness and admirer of how Alan has developed his personal projects in each of his facets: DJ, producer, composer, violinist, keyboard player…traveling round the globe and working at some of the most exclusive clubs in the world: BCM planet dance, Imperia lounge Moscow, Colors of Sound Barcelona, Bora Bora Ibiza, Rai Club Moscow, and sharing the stage with big names like DJ Sammy, D.O.N.S, Puff Daddy, Yolanda be cool, Julian Vegas, Carlos Jean, Guru Josh, G-Lontra…

Currently, the recognition of his work is absolute, not only in Ibiza where he works at Privilege: world’s biggest club as resident DJ every Tuesday at Myclubroom parties, but also in Russia, Belarus, France, Italy, Germany, Guatemala, Spain…In all of those places, Alan has closed the circle of his evolution in electronic music, ranging from aggressive tech house to melodic progressive and from an achievable mainstream to the darkest and fiercest grooves. And in each case, whether it be on the turntables, violin, keyboard, or the processors, he continues to astonish me like that first night, because with each note, he continues the unattainable search and obsession for passion, seduction, depth, eroticism, freedom, elegance, beauty, but above all, a connection with his audience. All this through the intensity that is his music."
